I have just bought a 4 bed council house to renovate and sell on.

There is currently and old hot water tanks and back boiler. The plans are to have a shower room and bathroom with shower.

I’m unsure about the pressure although there is currently a pump in the shower (very noisy). Should I go for a combi or go to a system boiler.

Check the pressure first. If there is a pump it suggests poor pressure. A combi boiler would not wok if there was low pressure.

If the pressure is ok I would go combi. Cheaper to install and will give you more storage space too.

Don’t think the pump is anything to do with the pressure…your existing system is gravity fed. Test it and then if its ok then a higher watt combi boiler such as a 28kW boiler should be ok.
