Currently looking at wooden flooring to be fitted in our main room, hall and bedrooms over UFH. We are looking at engineered oak. What is the minimum thickness for engineered oak over low temp UFH? 14 mm or is it better to go with 18 mm or even thicker?

I have 18mm semi solid oak and it works well. I stuck mine directly to the floor with sika adhesive.

I have 12mm thick bamboo which is bonded directly to the floor. We have low temperature UFH and haven’t had any problems. Bamboo is very solid and a great option to think about.
